The Lady Pioneers have picked up a midseason transfer out of Wichita, Kansas. Cadence "Cadi" Mills who came from NCCAA member Barclay College Bears who is a part of the Mid-West Conference. Mills will be coming to the Pioneers and looks to make an impact immediately.
In here time with the Bears, Mills played in two games and 36 minutes before deciding to transfer to the Lady Pioneers in January. Mills played for Wichita North High School where she led her team in both three-point field goals made and also on the defensive end in steals.
Head Coach Brian Tribble's program is picking up steam heading into the season as they are ranked ninth. Tribble says, "Mills is a great combo guard who has the ability to shot from all over the court." He also added in "this pick-up is big for the program, showing that we are continuing to grow and picking up momentum in our conference and across the NCCAA."
Mills is excited to be able to play for the Lady Pioneers and will bring another weapon on the perimeter to the already dangerous three-point shooting team. She will also bring a solid defense to the team as well.
The Pioneers are looking to build off last season's run to the national tournament and Mills will be a big part of that.
