Pioneers look to continue their winning ways as they travel to Grace College Winona Lake, Indiana. The Pioneers will take on Great Lakes Christian Crusaders on Thursday at noon and then Friday at noon they will take on the #8 Grace Christian College Tigers.
Thursday will mark the first match-up with the Crusaders this season who have struggled so far with a tough schedule. The Crusaders are sitting at 2-11 on the season but are sitting at 1-2 in the NCCAA play. Their lone win came against Central Christian College. Their two losses have come to the #2 Barclay College and #4 Manhattan Christian College.
Trent Temple and Isaiah Reed are the two key contributors for the Crusaders. Temple who is averaging 20.2 points per game making him 8th in the country in scoring, and Reed who is sitting at 12th with 19.2 points per game. However, those two players make up over half of their points per game.
Defensively the Crusaders are giving up 85.5 points per game up to their opponent. The Pioneers will rely on the balanced scoring attack against the Crusaders as they only have two players averaging double figures Chris Rawlins 17.4 point per game, and Tyron Duncan 14.7 points per game.
The Pioneers who are 4-0 in NCCAA play and have wins over three conference teams in Boyce, #8 Grace Christian College, Welch in conference, and in Bob Jones University on the road to open the season. The Pioneers are 4-4 overall this season and look to continue to gain momentum in the conference with two big games to end this week.
