The Pioneers opened conference play with an emphatic win tonight against the Boyce Bulldogs. Aamaj Platt led the way for the Pioneers tonight off the bench with 17 points and 6 rebounds followed by Kerion Douglas who had 16 points nad 7 rebounds.
The Pioneers made a statement tonight by beating the Bulldogs with a final score of 92-75. The Pioneers would lead the nation's second leading scorer Bailey Benham to only 9 points this game and the nation's seventh leading scorer Tyler Nauret to just 15 points.
The Pioneers leading scorer tonight came off the bench and contributed in a big way. Platt said "On the team we really understand the roles that we have as players and individuals and tonight I was ready to come in and showcase my abilities." Platt went on to add "I am glad that my teammates were able to find me in places that allowed me to succeed and to bring my best game tonight."
The Pioneers now move to 2-0 against NCCAA and 1-0 in Mid-East, the Pioneers will now move on to reigning national champions Grace Christian University. The Pioneers will look to have a big game in back to back days.
