Pioneers Golf Finishes 3rd in USCAA National Championship

The Pioneers golf team held a lead heading into back nine of the USCAA National Golf Tournament. Kameron Gehring was in sole position of first place.

However, back nine wasn't so pleasant for the Pioneers as late struggles for the team led to a third-place finish.

The Pioneers golf team has had one of the most successful seasons in its short history. They are the first program in school history to win their regional championship when they won the mid-east back in the fall.

The team would go on to compete for two national titles this year in the fall the competed for the NCCAA national championship in Florida where they finished 6th place. Now finishing 3rd place in the USCAA national championship.

Kameron Gehring and Parker Monhollen both earned 1st team All-American honors while Elijah McKinney and Jakob Begley both earned 2nd team All-American honors.

Coach Mike Kehoe is excited for the future saying this "The Golf team has a bright future ahead of them, we look forward to building off this year and bringing home more championships next season."
