The Campbellsville University Harrodsburg men's basketball team picks up their third commit this week.
The Pioneers men's basketball team lands a talented guard out of Bourbon County. Naykir Joyce, a key contributor in helping lead Bourbon County to a 24-6 record this past season.
Joyce is ready to get to the Pioneers and start helping the team next season and looks to add the depth to the guard position while setting himself apart with his rebounding ability.
Head Coach Austin Sparrow is continuing to add the needed depth to the roster, Joyce is another talented piece that comes in ready to help the Pioneers compete for the Mid-East regional championship and make their way into the national tournament next season. He will be a great addition to the already talented roster.
"Naykir is a point guard willing to get his teammates involved and attack the rim to find the open man," said Coach Sparrow. "He played with a lot of talent at Bourbon County, we're excited to see how well he plays with the talent we have in Harrodsburg."
The Pioneers have been focused on adding depth this offseason as their young roster continues to develop. Entering their second season under Coach Sparrow, the Pioneers will feature their first team filled with upper classmen that have been in the program since it's origin. Coach Sparrow is excited for the potential his team has with a unique mixture of experience and young talent. He believes Joyce, known as "Scrap" by his teammates, will fit right in.
"We are thrilled to bring Scrap into the program next season," said Sparrow.
