The Campbellsville University Harrodsburg Pioneers cross country team picked up another commit.
Maxwell Morton of Tates Creek High School in Lexington, KY is the fourth runner that head coach Brian Tribble has added to his roster this offseason.
Morton set a personal record this year of 19:43. Morton looks to come in and help the Pioneers as they compete in fall races in the NCCAA and USCAA. The Pioneers had only two runners competing last season are building towards team competition.
Coach Brian Tribble had this to say about Morton.
"He is truly a great addition to the program, he has always had a work ethic and discipline that separates him from other athletes." Also adding in this about his future runner "Max has always been a dual-sport athlete which will carry over well in the college ranks of his cross-country career. He comes into his first college season already in top physical shape due to his high school basketball and cross-country career."
Coach Tribble said this about Morton's life motto.
"His motto has always been, "Let's it done."
Morton said his plans now that he has chosen the Pioneers over several schools that recruited him, is to simply get it done, which will be getting his degree and multiple race championships on the college level.
