The Harrodsburg Pioneers started Cross Country last season under the direction of head coach Brian Tribble and assistant coach Jill Winter. Cross Country in their inaugural season had two athlete's freshman Micah Brown and sophomore Ingrid Meece.
The athletes competed in meets across the country traveling to North Carolina and also Orlando, Florida. The Athletes competed in the NCCAA division 2 along with athletes from Moody Bible Institute, Bob Jones University, Alice Lloyd College, Ozark Christian College, Grace Christian University, Trinity Bible College, and Maranatha Baptist University.
Ingrid Meece who finished 45th among the women's the division in her first season running for the Pioneers. Her best time was 29:27.2 which was at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Florida.
Micah Brown who finished 36th in the men's division in his first season with the Pioneers. His best time was 34:11.1 in the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Florida.
Cross Country had a great first season and continue to look for the future. The Cross-Country team looks to add more student athletes this coming off season as they continue to grow their team and compete in the NCCAA.
