One of CU Harrodsburg's focus points this off season was to add size, shooting and depth, they found all of that in Harrison County's Spencer Free.
Free, a 6'4 small forward, is not only a threat from three point range, he's also capable of handling the ball like a guard.
Free announced his decision on social media and signed his letter of intent at his home in front of friends, family and CU Harrodsburg staff.
"I want to start off by thanking God. I want to thank Him for giving me the talent and ability that will let me play at the collegiate level," said Free. "I believe this program is on the rise."
Athletic Director Dalton Christopher was excited to welcome Free to Harrodsburg.
"I've always believed Spencer has a dynamic set of skills to go along with his talent, I couldn't be more excited for our program to welcome him, I believe he will fill in some gaps offensively and will elevate us to the next level," said Christopher.
Free adds the necessary depth for a CU Harrodsburg team looking to compete at the highest level this season within the NCCAA and USCAA, with their sights on the post season.
Head Coach Herve Kouna believes Free will be a key point in the offense for Harrodsburg.
"His ability to shoot the three will be big for us this upcoming season. Something that we lacked last year on a consistent level," Kouna said, "Free will give us another weapon on the perimeter."
